The Extron RG59 cable is a single conductor coaxial cable designed for a wide range of analog AV system, HDTV, and digital SDI applications. The RG59 cable comprises a single, solid, bare copper, 20 AWG, 75 ohm conductor in a foamed PE dielectric wrapped in a foil shield with 100% shield coverage plus a tinned copper braid shield with 95% shield coverage.

The plenum version has a plenum-rated jacket constructed with special fire protectant agents for use in applications where National Electric Code CMP cable must be installed. Plenum cable can be run through open air spaces, eliminating the need for conduit and reducing installation costs.
